Privacy Policy

Who we are

Encodly is an independent AI consultancy operating in the United Arab Emirates. We decide why and how the data described below is processed, which makes us the controller of it.

What we collect

Only what you enter, plus the minimum your browser sends with it:

• Scorecard answers — your 1–5 responses, the pillar scores they produce, your total and your band.
• Contact details you choose to give us — your work email and, optionally, your company name.
• Technical context sent with each submission — your browser's user-agent string and the page you arrived from.

What we don't collect

This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies and runs no third-party analytics or advertising scripts.

You can complete the scorecard and see your score without giving us any contact details at all. Scores are recorded anonymously; the email step is optional and only appears after your result is already on screen.

Why we use it

Three purposes, and nothing else:

• To send you the scorecard results and pillar breakdown you asked for.
• To reply to you if you get in touch, and to prepare for a call you book with us.
• If you opted in, to send occasional practical notes on AI adoption in the UAE. Every one of those carries an unsubscribe link.

Legal basis

We process this data on the basis of your consent, under Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data. You gave that consent by submitting the form, and you can withdraw it at any time — by using the unsubscribe link or by writing to us. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything we sent before you withdrew it.

Who else handles it

We use three service providers, each processing this data only on our instructions:

• Vercel — hosting and delivery of this website.
• Neon — the database that stores scorecard submissions.
• Resend — delivery of the result emails.

Where it is processed

Those providers may process data on servers outside the UAE. Where that happens, it is covered by the contractual protections in our agreements with them. If your engagement requires data to stay in-region, we can arrange that for the systems we build for you — say so and we will scope it.

How long we keep it

Anonymous scores are kept indefinitely so we can see how readiness shifts across the market over time. Contact details are kept until you ask us to delete them, or until 24 months have passed with no contact between us, whichever comes first.

Your rights

Under the UAE Personal Data Protection Law you can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or stop how we use it, or transfer it elsewhere. Write to us and we will act within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with how we handled it, you can complain to the UAE Data Office.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it. We will not quietly broaden what we do with data you already gave us.
